UCC Manhattan

Each weekend, we offer Sunday school classes, nursery (ages 0-2) and Children's Church. We have the nursery at both 9:45 and 11:15 a.m. and classes for children at 9:45 (through 4th grade) and 11:15 a.m. (through 12th grade). See the Sunday school link on the right for more information and times. A children's choir prepares a Christmas program and various events take place throughout the year, such as a fall harvest party, movie nights, and crafts mornings. Each June, we hold a VBS for ages 4-years-old through 6th grade.  Also in June and July are several King Solomon camps, starting with day camp for pre-school and kindergarten, and various camps continuing for all grades, in conjunction with Josh Nelson, the high school youth minister.

Sunday School

Safety Policies

We want to ensure that every child in our care is protected and safe. Each parent/guardian is asked to fill out a registration form for the family at their first visit. This gives us information regarding allergies, special concerns, and who is authorized to pick up the children. The family's information is entered into our computer system, then each child will receive a name badge. We issue the parent a security badge to present in each child's classroom upon pick up. Both the child's badge and parent badge will have matching codes. If the parent/guardian does not have the badge, he/she must show picture I.D.

Pager System

We assign each family a pager number - the last four digits of your phone number. If your child is in need of a parent/guardian we will place your number on the media screen in the worship service. As soon as you see your number, please come to the Education Building (Building 200).

Sick Policy

If your child is running a fever or has vomited in the last 24 hours, we ask you not bring your child to church that day. We appreciate your consideration of the other children in our program. Thank you.
