Children's Ministry

Kenna McFall

We offer Sunday school classes for children of all ages, nursery (ages 0-2) and children's church. During the 5 p.m. Saturday service, we have children's programming for children through 6th grade, and on Sunday mornings, we offer Sunday school classes at 9:45 (through 4th grade) and 11:15 a.m. (through 12th grade).  Visit the Sunday school page for more information and times.  Each June, we hold a Vacation Bible School for ages 4-years-old through 6th grade.  Also in June and July are several King Solomon camps, starting with day camp for pre-school and kindergarten, and various camps continuing for all grades, coordinated through Josh Nelson, the youth minister.  A children's choir prepares a Christmas program and various events take place throughout the year, such as a fall harvest party, movie nights, and crafts mornings.  Check out the Children's Ministry page for more details.

Missions

Mike Irvin

University Christian Church is active in supporting the spreading of the gospel in Kansas, the United States, as well as throughout the world. Over 17% of our annual budget goes to support missions. We also organize and send church members on short term mission trips to both help missionaries in the field as well as to provide educational and personal growth opportunities for our members. For more details, check out our missions ministry Web page.

Senior Adults Ministry

Joan Leach

The Senior Adults Ministry of University Christian Church is a ministry to adults who are retired and/or over age 65 who are unable to participate as fully in the life of the church as they once did -- those older adults who, because of differing situations, often feel isolated and lonely, and perhaps even forgotten by the church.  These individuals are sometimes homebound -- either permanently or temporarily.  We try to reassure them of the church's concern and compassion as we offer encouragement and cheer through sending cards, making phone calls, visiting, providing communion to those who request it, providing transportation in some situations, assisting caregivers as we are able, and providing occasional meals. Check out the Senior Adults Ministry Web page for more details.

The Disaster Relief Ministry exists to unite faith-based organizations in the Manhattan area to serve for the glory of God in times of emergency. We work to coordinate volunteers, identify needs and collaborate work efforts within the community of Manhattan and nearby areas. We seek to provide food, shelter, clean-up and crisis chaplaincy. If you or your church group has a desire to serve during community emergencies, we welcome you. For more details, check out the Disaster Relief Ministry Web page.
